Permissions

This allows administrators to assign specific access rights to users based on their role, associated company, application, menu, and defined access groups.

Navigation:

Settings > Access Control > Permissions

Click on New Permission (located at the top-right corner of the screen) to create a new permission .


Adding a New Permission

Permissions are defined on a per-user basis. Each permission entry links a user to their associated company, project, application, and access rights.

Configuration Fields

User NameSelect the user from the drop-down list for whom the permission is to be set.
CompanyChoose the company to which the user belongs.
Project NameSelect the relevant project within the chosen company.
App NameChoose the application the user should have access to.
RoleAssign a role that determines the user’s level of access and responsibilities within the selected app.
MenuSpecify the menu or module within the app that the user can interact with.
Access GroupSelect the appropriate access group that defines the organizational hierarchy and level (e.g., Project, BU, Cluster).

Purpose of Permissions

  • Ensure Role-Based Access Control across multiple applications and organizational entities.
  • Maintain data security and operational boundaries by mapping each user to only their relevant components.
  • Allows control on who can view, edit, or manage specific sections of an app.
