My Task
In sterlo web application the user will be redirected to homepage after login which displays the primary menu of the application. Here the user can have a summary of available features and development options to develop an user customised Application. This document will guides you further into the details of “My Task” on the homepage.
Overview
Task generally is a specific action or operation that a user can perform within an application. Here in web Application, “My task” refers to the assignments or responsibilities assigned to the user, expected to be performed to complete some required action. Here, the user will be sent email reminders for each task.
Type of View
Tasks can be observed in List view, showcasing a sequence of icons, or in a Grid pattern, presenting a tabular structure of data. The default display for tasks is set to List view.
Task Types
- Edit – This feature allows the user to edit an assigned task and indicate to the other party whether it has been finished or is still in progress, making it easier for them to keep track of it. The task will be indicated by an Edit icon which symbolise this can be edited.
- Approve – The user may receive an approval task, which involves approving or rejecting any task that arises from meeting certain predetermined requirements. In this specific scenario, the process displays an ‘eye’ icon to indicate that the task is in view mode and that the user can’t change or edit the same.
- Review – Here the user can review the task. For example, if any comments are needed for any activity to proceed to the next step that suggests timely updates, a review procedure can be set up by providing comments regarding the same.
Task Summary
A “task summary” typically refers to a concise overview or brief description of the key details and status of a task within a project or workflow.The following are the primary statuses that the sterlo application provides; the user can customize which statuses should be displayed at all times.
If the user want to view the Task summary in the Homescreen this can be configured in User settings.

Pending: Tasks that have been assigned but not yet started.

Due: Tasks that have a specified deadline or due date.

Overdue: Tasks that have passed their due date without being completed.

To Start: Tasks that are planned but not yet initiated.

Progress: Tasks that are currently being worked on.

Escalation: Tasks that require urgent attention and a notification has been sent to higher authorities
Filters
My Task and My Entries :
User can filter their Task by choosing ‘My Task’ and ‘My Entries’ where, My Task defines Tasks assigned to me (as user) and My Entries defines Tasks assigned by me (as user) to any other users.
Status and Due Days :
By choosing the status filter, tasks can be sorted according to whether they are Open, In Progress, or To be approved. On the other hand, selecting due days will display tasks based on those that need to be completed within the specified timeframe, as well as those that are overdue.
Use of Search and Additional Filter :
Search feature in a web application allows users to enter their desired tasks directly, enabling them to find and view specific tasks easily. An additional filter is provided, offering an in-depth and comprehensive range of filtering options. Users can filter their search based on various criteria such as status, Apps, Priority, Assigned to, Category, Due days, and Action. This expanded set of filters enables a more specific approach for sorting and locating specific information within the application.
Task History
Task History in sterlo records the past activities and changes associated with tasks within the application. This log may include details such as when a task was created, modified, completed, or any other relevant events.
